Descrizione del Progetto: 

Diego Dominici porta la sua nuova serie Mimesi, che ci racconta come il mondo contemporaneo ci fa costruire un'immagine digitale, da mettere in una vetrina per il mondo e sul mondo. La maschera utilizzata nella serie fotografica veniva indossata esclusivamente dalle donne tra il XVII e il XVIII secolo. La moretta, questo il suo nome, era una piccola maschera in velluto nero non dotata di bocca, essendo proibite di proferire alcuna parola. Veniva infatti tenuta aderente al viso mordendo un bottone al suo interno. Divenne molto popolare proprio per questo suo aspetto che le rendeva estremamente seducenti e desiderabili. In questa serie fotografica, il vuoto che la maschera crea, simboleggia la necessità di ognuno di avere una realtà sociale differente da quella dei social. Infatti l'immagine artefatta, seppur necessaria, ci costringe ad una nuova forma di solitudine e di lontananza sociale. Il vuoto cromatico che la maschera crea, vuole rappresentare la finta immagine che proiettiamo verso l'esterno. 

Marta Scavone, porta la nuova serie Bazaar of the Unconscious. Un progetto di fotografia di autoritratto surreale che esplora le connessioni tra l'inconscio e il conscio, utilizzando materiale onirico - immagini, simboli ed emozioni - per affrontare questioni sociali e politiche. Ogni immagine è una narrazione autonoma e raffigura l'artista attraverso un pannello di vetro trasparente, una metafora del fragile confine tra sogno e veglia. Oggetti simbolici popolano la scena, i loro colori vivaci e la composizione teatrale creano un dialogo tra il familiare e l'inaspettato, invitando lo spettatore a decodificare l'indetto e riflettere sul rapporto tra l'individuo e la società contemporanea.

This work does not depict the Himalayas; it seeks to make their presence felt. Born from a journey to Ladakh, in the heart of the Himalayas, this work does not seek to represent the mountain, but to convey the experience of an encounter with a force greater than ourselves.

The Himalayas appear as a landscape of tensions: a fractured, folded, contorted territory, born from the collision of tectonic plates. These are not peaceful mountains. This is a landscape that embraces us, imposes its power, and whose original violence has given rise to absolute beauty. For the artist, the Himalayas become a metaphor for our own lives, likewise marked by shocks, fractures, wounds and trials. Once endured and transformed, these experiences can become what builds us and gives us depth. The gold line embodies this possibility of transformation: the ability to turn lead into gold, wounds into strength, and what strikes us into what elevates us.

Each stroke is made by hand, using 23.75-carat gold leaf. This gesture required extensive technical research, including the choice of paper: the support had to be dense, rich in texture, and able to receive the gold without absorbing the preparatory layer applied with a brush. The initial stroke is drawn in a single gesture. Once placed, it becomes irreversible. The gold leaves are then applied one by one, in a slow and precise gesture. This deeply embodied work is felt as much as it is contemplated. It connects the present moment to eternity, and our life trajectories to something greater than ourselves.
